Coaching
What is Coaching?
Simply put, coaching is a process of helping others meet their personal and professional goals. There are different methodologies and types of coaching, but the overall objective is to increase awareness, improve performance, and obtain higher quality results. Coaching allows you to take a step back, look at your business and your life, redefine your goals, and bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be. With coaching, you can not only create a unique vision and mission for yourself and your future, but you can outline various goals that can be measured for success. You can also implement unique strategies and action plans that when followed, will lead you to higher levels of overall fulfillment and achievement.
Is Coaching Right for Me?
Coaching may not be right for everyone and it is important to talk to a professional coach to determine if it is right for you. Some people may not be committed to the process or the timing may not be right for them. Others may not have found the right coach – one whom they can trust, open up to, and develop a rapport with. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance in any coaching relationship.
If you are considering coaching, there are coaches who can help you with many different personal and professional issues. Regardless of the stage of life that you are in or where you are in your career, finding the right coach can have a huge, positive impact on your overall health and success.

Structure and Format of Coaching
- Awareness– To begin the process, and to gain tremendous insight into how you think, what your strengths and limitations are, and where your focus is, we begin with the MindScan Assessment. This assessment was created by Dr. Robert S. Hartman and it is the result of more than 87 years of work and research in the science of thinking. It reflects your unique way of valuing the world and yourself. It is a simple assessment and takes no more than 10-15 minutes of your time. Once you become more self-aware, you will be able to build a unique blueprint for success.

- Action– Here, we build a plan that is specifically designed to get results for you! This action plan is the heart of your coaching experience. You will create a personal vision and mission statement, along with key performance indicators (KPIs), strategies, action plans, and critical activities. There is an optional software program available which can be utilized for electronic record-keeping. A goal tracker is included in this program that measures the success of your goals each step of the way.

- Accountability – The essential component of any plan is the degree of responsibility and commitment of those involved. By committing to the coaching process, you are taking more control of your life and proving your desire to get to the next level. We will hold you accountable, making sure to challenge you every step of the way, incorporating best practices, and keeping you on the right track. Without the accountability of both parties, the process will not be successful.
The initial coaching process lasts six weeks. During that time, you will meet face-to-face or via phone with your coach once a week to develop your plan. These meetings and calls usually last about an hour. At the end of this time, you will have a completed plan that is ready for implementation.
After the six weeks, coaching can continue based on the client’s needs and progress. Coaching can occur once a week, twice a week, once every two weeks, or whenever is best for the client and the plan. For consistency purposes and for maximum impact, sessions should continue at least on a weekly basis; this helps the client keep focus and the momentum going!
